Black Lake Ice

Post by Phil » Sat Dec 04, 2010 7:02 am

Lots of cold coming 8) Probably be on the ice next weekend
Well, maybe some folks will be trying it out. I think, in two weeks we will be right into it, full blast.
Hope this cold holds up, and the snow stays away for a while.

Follow the cam closely - I'm betting the lake will froze over by Tuesday or Wednesday AM. I just may have to be taking some time off from work soon! :D

Just wanted to stop by and wish yous Good Luck on the up coming Ice Fishing season.

More than likely we won't get on the ice here in Northeastern Pa till sometime in January. But I still have my hopes up It will be sooner.

I was just wondering how much ice is on the lake now, and much snow there is as well? From the webcams, it seems like it has been snowing a lot up there.

Last weekend we saw anywhere from 3.5 in the narrows to 8" in the remote bays. There was about 3" of snow then and we have received another 3" since. But with wind, etc. I would guess less than 5" total, on the ice. I hope the wind gets to blowing and cleans the ice right off. It's not gaiining much with the snow on top and the temps we been getting.
