So - I can't remember who started or contributed to the map of Black Lake that is done on Google Maps. I know I contributed somewhat and I have more to update. Can we open this map for edits again? Maybe Kevin??? PM me please.

There are two islands that have been overlooked and are currently unlabeled on the google map. Can you find and name them? Ready, set, go!

There are more than two; I think we are looking for "official" island names or names that have been accepted by the local community as "official".
I have heard lots of names from some some folks that fish the lake and then when I ask one of the local, long-time campground owners; they usually ask about where the name(s) came from.

Not sure which two islands you are referring to - let's hear about them.

Yes - I know of them. The two small islands just NNE of Emmery. Can't verify the names with the local campground owners. Not sure where the names came from. Do you know the history/origin?

I don't know who named them or the history. But I see them labeled on the Fishing Hotspots Map for Black Lake.

For many years we just called the bigger one 'Lone Pine' island....and the other 'the pimple'... but the pine tree died a few years back  ...??? I guess Mutt and Jeff it'll have to be... :?
