smallmouth

i need some halp on finding smallies on black lake.
i do good finding Lm and pike but i cant find the smallies.
i am going to be staying at chapmans .
and i will be up on opening week .if anyone can help me
let me know thank you .

I caught them by Rasberry Island, from my experience any rocky area has produced smallmouth. Never caught one north of the bridge though, they must be there but I haven't found them yet. Also caught them in Mile arm Bay. Senkos on the bottom in case you were wondering.

The rocky shoals coming out of deep water hold smallmouth, expecially those with some weeds among the rocks.

If you are staying at chapmans you can go out from chapman hang a right once you past the camps fish the shore line with top water lures we fish that course in the early morning and just before dusk. morning is better. at least for us. Than another spot that is fruitfull is along the stone walls in lonesome bay on the left side going in. than again like said earlier along any rock bed into the edge of the weeds. Good Luck. just remember to be patient and enjoy the time there it goes to fast. :lol:
