I have not heard anything either..This Blog has been really quite and with the amount of users online I figured there would be a lot of Bragging and hollering! LOL All I know is the water level was pretty High as of a couple days ago but folks are still getting on the lake OK. We (4 of us) are coming up on Sunday and I was hoping somebody would put in a fishing report or two before hand.

Water Temp. 63 degrees on May 13 in north end....shallow water.
Water levels had dropped somewhat.....my dock is now above the water line!!
Rain this week could change that.

Black Lake -
Crappie and Bullheads are on the bite. There is no Bass Fishing until the Season Opener which is the third Saturday in June. There is also no Catch & Release period for Bass either. Check the Rules and Regulations when fishing Northern lakes in New York.

we were there from the 18th to the 25th..the water temp was 75 degrees on top...and we must have caught 1000 fish all week...we went to the bridge and drifted just past the big aluminum dock and started fishing in 4.8' to 5.3' and we were catching pike on red daredevil spoons and little cleos...gold and silver...about every second or third cast...we were catching big bass on yamamotos wacky worms..black with blue sparkle...5"..caught walleyes off raspberry island bouncing worm rigs in 17' of water...many catfich up to 9lbs..and lots of bowfins in the 7-9 lb range...it was a great week..hope this helps you have a safe time..
