The weeds are still more sparse than normal for this time of year. The water is low now so there are areas where they are laying on the surface, such as on top of shoals. Bays are not matted as yet. In some areas the weeds are getting slimy like they commonly do at the start of the algae bloom. Water is a little green in some areas but clear in others.
Give a starving man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

- What areas of the lake are matted, and is there potential to flip/punch plastics and/or jigs?
- What areas have weeds just under the surface (3" to 2')?
- If theres an algae bloom where would one go to find clearer water?
