Parts question among fishermen

Post by ragincajun » Fri Dec 30, 2011 4:39 pm

Quick question. I have the need to replace my boat trailer jack. It currently has a shelby model 5756. Shelby's website shows a replacement for this jack at $75.99 but doesn't show any of the dimensions.

I also went to the bass pro website and see several options. They have one with 27" lift and 14" carry that are $73 with good ratings. The one on the boat is rated for 900 pounds and has worked fine for many years. The new shelby one is 1200, and the bass pro jack is 1500 pounds.

Decisions decisions. Bass pro also sells cheaper ones. I guess money is just tight after xmas and I don't want to waste it by over kill or the wrong decision.

Dude, I can lift the front of my trailer with a bit of effort. Don't think that the weight thing will be much of a problem for ya.
