Happy New Year and may the ice fishing be the best for you.....I want you to have two great months...Jan and Feb.! Then it is our turn to want warm weather! Are you going to fish for walleyes on Onida this year?

Yes I am going to Oneida this year - don't have the dates down yet though. AND - make that end of March for the end of the ice-fishing for me. Ice-out will be mid April

Going to get cold later into winter and stay longer is my guess. I hope to be fishing in the boat by April 1st. Even though it will be with minnows and bobbers for more perch...it works for me.

My guess is March 30th. Northern Pike ends March 15th anyway and the ice shanty's need to be off the ice by that date as well.

Well, that's OK by me but I don't leave my fishing shelter out on the ice; and there can be some great crappie and gill fishing through the ice in late March.

The way the temps have been there, especially during the day time, I am thinking ice out may be sooner than normal. According to the cam, it is warmer there than it is here downstate, by like 10 degrees.
