Anyone know a local excavator?

Post by erik » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:41 am

Next Summer I wanted to clean up the boat launch and shore line at my camp on the lake. I contacted the DEC, they said get the proper permits and hire an excavator or do it my self. I'd like to get someone local that has done it before.
Any suggestions?

Realtor gave me these two #'s last year, I have not used them so I can't say their work is good.

I have recently bought some land in Redwood and the locals have told me that the woman who ownes Knorrs grocery store (rt 37 in redwood, most people drive right past this on thier way to black lake) is wealth of information and contacts in regards to contractors. Might be worth stopping in if the other info doesn't pan out.

Another thought is to contact RT 37 building supply or the Garlock Hardware store in A-bay.

Erik,
Why do you need an excavator? Do you want to remove muck from the lake?
Just wondering.

Tori,
No muck, just tired of backing my truck into the lake until water is coming in the doors!

Dave Goldie cleared our lot on the lake, excavated for the basement for our cabin, and put in our septic system. Did a great job, his work is clean, neat and sanitary, hee hee!
Highly recommend him.
