I FORGOT TO ASK LAST YEAR BUT IS IT ME OR ARE THE CARP IN THE LAKE GETTING BIGGER? THE LAST FEW YEARS I'VE SEE LARGE SCHOOLS IN A LOT OF SHALLOW AREAS OF THE LAKE. THEY LOOK LIKE 5LBS. PLUS. I'VE BEEN GOING TO BLACK LAKE FOR 30 YEARS AND THIS IS NEW TO ME. TAKE CARE JACK

I saw large schools last year with several fish well over 10lbs

I think the schools of Garpike are also being seen more often, meaning there are more and more.

Came up last year week before Memorial Day and caught a 28 pound carp off rasberry around 10:30 pm.huge fish and nice fight-like hookin a dump truck. People knock carp but they are fun on medium spinning gear when youre not expecting it. I was using a brand new rod and reel setup for the first time and that was the first hookup with that rig.Passed that test with flying colors.
