First Walleye

Post by sekotsjds » Wed May 23, 2012 7:54 pm

Hello everyone. I am heading to BL on Friday and have yet to catch a Walleye. Anyone willing to offer some proven methods/locations? I could care less the size. I just want to get one or two under my belt. Thanks!

You will need to read through the recent posts on here. There are several tips within that reference walleye success.

I have read them all. Most of them reference fishing with techniques I already employ. Most of the recent posts were targeting pike, perch and crappie which I have been as well. No luck.

You are hoping for someone to give away their "spot(s)". Not likely to happen. There are references to areas and lake structure in a few of the posts.
I hope you find a few eyes on your trip. :)

Thanks. I will give it a shot. I have never caught anything on those but not for lack of trying. Thanks again!

Ya the key is to make sure there gettin down there , of its crankin use a bigger one , i usualy wait till i feel it bump the bottum then I start my jiggin and I dont stop until its in, I will tell you there 3 snags in the water under thiere, better bring a few, out of 4 or 5 of us we lost probably 30 over a 4-5 day span but we caught sum nice fish and once you identify where the snags are its earier to avoid or jig over them
