ragin,my son caught it pitching creature baits next to grass stalks in 5 ft of water,our drift was so fast ,you just looked for the clumps and the bass were at bottom,it weighed just under 5.3 lbs.

Awesome. I was using a fat baby craw which is a kind of creature and it just kept getting the legs chewed off as it seemed to be very popular. Thanks for the info, I will try real creatures ...bigger ones..next time I am out. That is an awesome fish....glad you caught it on black lake....memories you won't soon forget.
