From what I see on the web cams lake does not look good. Hope it gets real cold.

I think better than it did, covered with more than a foot of snow. We got some good ice and some bad ice right now. It will survive this warm up and be much better for it next week, when the temps drop. :big-grin:

It almost looks like waves on the back bay webcam. any one else see that :(

I think it will be good. Maybe the shoreline will be a little sketchy. Lake is on the rise from all the snow-melt and runoff.

I know there's a bait shop past the bridge I just can't remember the name but I know it's past black lake marine

Do I count 5 pike and the rest are crappies? How big was the biggest pike?

The only two bait shops that I know of, on the lake, are Black Lake Marine and Chapman's.

I would love to take credit for those fish but i can't they were caught by a friend of a friend who lives in hammond. They were Caught near my camp and the black lake marine area. And yes there are 5 pike in that pile of deliciousness!

I got -14 at my house 5 this morning. Ice is gaining.

I'm new to ice fishing on the lake though been going up there my hole life we had a cabin on the by booth island .. the cabin was sold :( but my question is I heard the lake had a strong current over there , is this true?....if not would that be a good place to ice fish ?
