Re: Hard Water
I think better than it did, covered with more than a foot of snow. We got some good ice and some bad ice right now. It will survive this warm up and be much better for it next week, when the temps drop.tr21 wrote:From what I see on the web cams lake does not look good. Hope it gets real cold.

Re: Hard Water
I think it will be good. Maybe the shoreline will be a little sketchy. Lake is on the rise from all the snow-melt and runoff.markz5 wrote:Hope the ice is good by this weekend got a trip from Rochester planned

Re: Hard Water
The only two bait shops that I know of, on the lake, are Black Lake Marine and Chapman's.markz5 wrote:I know there's a bait shop past the bridge I just can't remember the name but I know it's past black lake marine

Looks like the temp is droping a stone. That is very good for all who fish.

Re: Hard Water
I'm new to ice fishing on the lake though been going up there my hole life we had a cabin on the by booth island .. the cabin was sold but my question is I heard the lake had a strong current over there , is this true?....if not would that be a good place to ice fish ?
