Tori
Older than me - uses all the new gadgets, as do I. :big-grin: I think I might show him a thing or two, but not much. He's an ex-pro. He's a Black Lake resident, these days. You can catch him working part time in the bait shops on the lake - sharing his knowledge.
Tori - we will have to get back out on the river for some eyes again this spring. 8)

Considering a trip up to Black Lake this week or next. I was wondering if Back Bay Campground and Cottages has places to stay in the winter and if they are not open do they allow access to the lake?

Thanks for the reply's and PM's. I am new to this site and very impressed with the info I found on here yesterday. I made some calls yesterday and found a few places to stay but was hoping to find a closer place to mile arm. I am not a fan of running on the ice for miles when I don't know the lake. With the crazy weather we have had this year you never know. Believe me I know how it looks when a newbie comes in and doesn't look around first. If that's the impression I gave I did not mean to! Sorry

The Black Lake goddess called me again today :big-grin:
Got this healthy 20" male walleye - came home with me - all others went back to the water. Could have kept a limit of nice, 12"+ crappies.

No problem - got it on-line from anglersguidehq.com they are sold out and I have not been able to locate any more since I got this one. I will be looking to add 2 or 3 more.
It's a 13 Fishing's Black Betty 6061 Multiplier Reel.

Also Eagle Claw has something similar.

Let me know if you find any - they are a bit pricey.
