Winterizing 4-stroke outboards?

I have been told that you do NOT have to fog your 4-stoke motor for the winter. Is this true? I guess there is enough oil in the gas to eliminate this step?? Any experience with this situation? Fogging leads to fouling your spark plugs and you have to put new ones in.
What say you guys?

Tori - I've had my 4 stroke for 6 years and have never "fogged" the motor for winter storage. I make sure there is a gasoline stabilizer in the fuel and that it has been run into the engine. I change the oil in the motor and the lower unit - then to bed with the boat for the winter. Not any different that what I do for a power mower that won't be used for 5 or 6 months.
On the other hand, fogging certainly won't do any real harm either. Get it out in the spring, run some fresh gas through it and then change the plugs for the season. I put new plugs in every spring anyways.
