Ice fishing around apple island

Post by erik » Wed Oct 28, 2015 9:36 pm

I sold my camp near black lake marine and bought a new place across from apple island. How's the ice fishing around that end? Is it safe to move around down that way. I believe back bay is across from me and roll away is just up the road so I know I've got options! Any info is appreciated.

MileArm can be good for crappie. Watch and wait for others to be active on the ice. The bays will be fishable before you can get to them from across the lake. I'd be cautious crossing from Apple Is. to MileArm.

I'm from Quebec. Haven't tried Black Lake before for ice fishing. Thinking of going this winter, it's not too far. Is it a deep lake?

Can't wait to try my new Humminbird Ice Helix 5.
