Hi all,

We are hoping to get out first week of march. Does anyone for see that the ice will be thick enough that week to cross the lake via snowmobile and also to ice fish?

As of 6 days ago there was 8-9 inches of good clear ice. I would estimate that after the cold snap we just had that it could be around 12 inches now. I think its highly likely the ice will still be good for the beginning of March.

I should say that there was a lot of open water areas north of the bridge last week so could be a different story there. People were still able to fish in front of Black Lake Marine though. Not sure where you are going out from.

We plan on going out near Chapmans and Tin Island
