Black Lake Summit

Hello Black Lake Forum,

The St. Lawrence County Planning Office and the Environmental Management Council (EMC) are working with stakeholders in the region around Black Lake to develop a community plan for the future of Black Lake.

We are holding a third “Black Lake Summit” meeting on Wednesday, December 1st at 10 AM via ZOOM. We invite you to attend. Please call or email the SLC Planning Office for ZOOM invite information. (315-379-2292; jtenbusch@stlawco.org)

The first “Summit” meeting was held on Oct. 29th at the Morristown Fire Hall; approx. 25 people came out. The second Summit was held on Nov. 15th via Zoom; with approx. 20 participants. We discussed past water-quality studies for Black Lake; how the Planning Office/EMC got involved with this current project; what are our concerns about Black Lake; what is our vision of the future for the region; how can we build that future?

This third “Summit” meeting will follow this same format. By scheduling meetings on different days at different times, our intention is to enable as many stakeholders as possible to participate in these meetings.
