I just realized I'll be up at the lake on the 27th for my last trip of the year. I won't have internet access to log on. Maybe I can get someone to log in for me.

There has got to be a way to create a quick and easy chat room here so we can "instant message" sort of speak when multiple users are online. Anyone know how or have an idea?

Well....I was just informed that a chat already exists for this forum type program. Can the admin please look into getting it for black lake forum? Thanks.

Ok. So it wasn't a success. However, I am sure not everyone could make it, that wanted to. I know that I have met some people on here that I feel are now friends and have been able to share information and stories with them. Jerry, as he might not have known his impact, seemed like a close friend with loads of information that I found very helpful and interesting. To all whom remember him...please post something. Today marks a year of his passing. He is missed.

I never met Jerry personally, but we sure spent a lot of time messaging each other! He was a very friendly and knowledgeable person who would help anyone!

I also never meet Jerry but got some good information and tips from his posts. I have been going the lake every summer for the 41 years I have been around. My Grandparents bought land and built camps on Black Lake with a couple of other people in the 50's. All 3 families still own the property. Black Lake will always be a place where I find peace. Even when the fishing is at its worst, I can't begin to describe the beauty of the lake, its surroundings, and the nature that you see that comes with being at the lake. This past weekend alone, I seen a pair of swans, a pair of Bald Eagles, an Osprey swooping down and having better luck fishing then we were, countless geese and the different types of ducks are amazing. I am so thankful that I get to bring my family there. This must be why Jerry loved the lake so much. RIP Jerry.

I never met Jerry in person either, but in a strange way I felt that I knew him. Honesty can do that I guess. RIP Jerry, you are still missed.
