Adivce?

Post by Snowmobiler97 » Sun Aug 22, 2010 2:49 pm

Hey guys, I was recently fishing with my family and it was our first time on the lake in a while. We need some help on fishing spots, we tried everywhere we knew and all we caught were these 4 in perch!?!?! Everywhere! All day long, nothing else. Where can we catch bigger and more exciting fish? Thanks Guys.

Small perch are everywhere in Black lake. I would purchase a HOTSPOTS map and follow the advice on the map. Also, in general, put away the small live baits and start using some artificials for bass, pike and walleye. There are so many good spots to try, but if you want one good pattern for this time of year and some exciting fishing....use some floating frogs wished weedless over the tops of thick weeds....the bass are there!

You can get the maps at any of the local sport stores or online.
Even still don't get discourged by not catching big fish. Sometimes it can be tricky. you can fish one spot catch a few go back later to that same spot and not catch a thing. good luck
