Ice Yet?

Rochester ponds are iced. I know it's been cold at the lake. Any ice besides the bays?

Post by Pike-Buster » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:57 pm

hey ptrivilino,, im coming up to black lake ice fishing for the first time, i was wondering if you could give me a few tips on where to head out, i dont have an atv or anything, so ill be driving my car, parking it, then walking out on the ice, im fishing for pike, and i can see from your posts you know what your talking about, also is there anything special to use up there, besides the basic quick-strike rig with large shiners..........

Get yourself a Hotspots Fishing Map. It'll "show" you where all the spots are we talk about on here. You can also see an on-line map of the lake that shows access, bays and islands.
