Spring Bullhead

Post by BKreppeneck » Thu Apr 07, 2011 3:22 pm

What is the bait of choice for spring bullheads? I am now living in North Carolina, have not been up an a long time, and chicken livers are very popular and do very well down here. I am wondering if they are used up there as well? Or what works on the lake.

I used to fish for them years ago and we had great luck with just a nightwalker gobbed up on a hook. we just kept folding the nightwalker over in itself until it was full. Good Luck!

I go up every year on the Pike opening. I don't fish for bullheads but alot of guys in our camp do. They tell me they go pick a spot during the day and stir up the mud and return at night with laterns and fish with leaches. They tell me they can catch many fish with the same leach. Hope this helps and good luck.
