6/2-6/9

I gotta say we had an awesome week this year. The bay south of Mandigo point was extremely productive, pulling tons of 18-22" pike out of the southeast end of the bay on buzzbaits and frogs in a smoke/clear with blue/chrome flake.

Also had good action along the northern edge of the point on silver/sexy shad swimbaits.

Lower big bay was also pretty solid on topwater throwing green/yellow frogs through the grassbeds along the northern and eastern edges of the bay. Blue/Chrome buzzbaits were also hitting ok, but the action exploded on blue/black and pumpkin kreature baits and twin tail grubs(yamamoto). Almost all pike for the week up north. We did get hooked up with a handfull of smallies along the eastern edge of booth island north of the bridge, however they were all smaller. Those were almost exclusively caught on sexy shad jigs and small shiners.

The south end of the lake was not covered much by us this week, however Lonesome bay was very productive, pulling 3 30" + pike out on suckers off the bottom.

We also pulled a handfull of bowfin right off the dock at fishermans landing, and while not an edible fish, what a fight!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps, although I know its a week late.

Tight lines and screaming reels!!!!!
