Fishing Columbus Weekend

Post by NewYorkRed » Tue Oct 09, 2012 8:09 pm

Had a great time. Rained on the way up, stopped when we got there. Headed out after lunch and the crappies were biting good up Fish Creek. Kept hitting them Saturday and Sunday as well. Rain overnight on Friday, but stopped by late morning and the fishing was great after. Some of the best crappie fishing we have ever had up there. Can't wait for next year. Maybe we should try in the spring.

We were up there the same time. The Crappy bite was the best ive ever seen. Dad and I got our limit in two hours or so. They were big too!! Managed to get a a few 14"ers. Managed a couple pike while fishing for the Crappies. Ive never seen so many boats in Fish Creek. We stayed out of the creek and fished rock walls with deep drop offs. We were using Roadrunner jig heads tipped with minnows or "Mo Glo" plastics. Next trip not until May...counting down the days!!
The more people I meet the more I like my dogs.
