All i can say is outstanding !!! crappies were hot with nice sizes ,we never kept any under 10 inches, caught a few walleyes , huge bass wouldnt stay off our crappie bait , several huge bowfins and even a few nice pike, with a few nice cats too ! Also for the first time ever saw a monster musky just cruising the water on the south end of the lake and had a monster 36 inch PLUS pike , chase a crappie up to the boat, he actually ate it but let go! Black Lake is just awesome fishing. This was my 12th year and hope many more to come . Water is low and with lots of hazzards so be carefull!

Was it a gear problem or did you hit something?

No some spring or something broke, chewed up some gears and all I was left with was reverse. Not having much luck finding lower unit parts for a 21 year old 225HP engine. Seems Suzuki abandoned all 2 cycle technology and parts 5 years ago. 3 years ago all their 2 cycle oil was gone and I just found out about that last month. Hate to give up on and engine I haven't blown apart yet but, I'm missing my spring fishing.
