Fishing report May 16th-18th
Trolled for Walleye all 3 days, caught several 5 lb. Bass in 12 ft. Of water, kinda weird I thought. Several large Blue gill. 6, 12 inch Perch, delicious to say the least. 1 Walleye 18" released. Anyone getting any eyes?

Been getting a few in 8 - 12 FOW. On the flats near weed beds. Funny thing is - I have not, nor have I heard of anyone, catching small/young eyes. Every fish I've got this past winter and spring has been 18 + inches.
Sure would like to hear of someone catching small eyes.

Ran into a guy in the river that told me he couldn't get any over 15". He was fishing Grindstone Bay!

Yes - that's the St. Lawrence. Lots of little guys out there. I catch about 5 to 1 under 18 to over 18 on the river, most of the time.walleyehound wrote:Ran into a guy in the river that told me he couldn't get any over 15". He was fishing Grindstone Bay!
