Labor Day Weekend Report

Fished Friday evening till Monday morning. Zero pike.
Zero bass. One Crappie. Best fish was a 28 inch Bowfiin.

Saw several fisherman and not one bass landed by my observation. Water level is low. Weeds are real bad.

I fished Grindstone Bay and up into the Indian River a little ways.

Very disappointed not to land a bass. I used every lure in my tackle box. The few fish I caught were taking minnows and nightwalkers. Even had one crayfish.... nothing.

Anyone else have a Labor Day Weekend Report????

Wrong part of lake I guess. Around the islands in the main lake the bass were on fire. Deeper weeds of the points. What I have noticed recently is a ton of small bait sized fish in clusters by the surface. Most of the time pecking at your line were it enters the water. Never have seen that many small fish. Appears to be plenty of food around and might keep the fish off of the lures. The fish caught all had full stomachs.
