2021 trips

Post by TeamToothy » Sun Mar 07, 2021 9:09 pm

With the Canadian border looking to stay locked down for a while, we booked our trip to black lake the week of 6/6 today. Last year we did pretty well so here’s hoping for another good trip.
Anyone else planning on hitting the lake this spring?

We have a large group coming up the week after you (6/12 - 6/19). It's been several years since my last trip and i'm really looking forward to it.

We're heading up for Pike and Crappie over Memorial day weekend. I'll try to remember to update this post on how the conditions are and how we made out with our fishing after we get back.

We are coming up from PA for the memorial day weekend looking for northern pike and crap[pies. I'll try to remember to update this group after we come home and let you know how we did.

Sounds like the lake will be a full house for spring and summer. Last year it felt like we had most of the lake to ourselves. Hopefully we get some serious rain soon. The whole northeast needs some watering. This forum has been awfully quiet lately on the cusp of the pike opener. I’ll be up for a quick trip next weekend and will report whatever we do.
Tight lines all.

Coming up with a group of guys 5/7 - 5/9 for some pike fishing for our annual trip. Missed last year due to covid but we've been coming up the same time for 20+ years.

Weather isn't looking great by any means but it'll still be a good time.

Any fishing reports? Are the pike biting?

We'll be staying at the log cabins

Coming up memorial day weekend looking for Pike and Crappie. I'll try to remember to post how the trip went when we get home. Hoping the water will be at normal levels when we get there. Staying at Back Bay this year.

Any updates on the conditions? We will be up there May 22-29 and curious how things are looking after missing last year.

We were up last weekend and to say the least it was tough. The lake came up, way up! Docks were flooded out and the water was in the woods.
The weather was rough on Saturday. Rained pretty much all day but we snuck out and caught one small pike.
Sunday was a little better. We found some crappies (mostly 7-9”, all released) and 2 more pike, biggest was 25”. We will be back 6/6-6/10 hopefully with better weather.

Heading up from Ohio with a few guys in early September. I have never been to Black Lake however one person taking the trip has fished there before. Fingers crossed for crappie as I'm more of a pan fish fan versus bass fishing.
