June 4th I meant lol. We just got back to camp after getting destroyed by the stiff wind out of the south. One pike landed, 26” on a blade/SwimbAit combo. The 5 mile run home into the wind took 50 minutes.
Might try for cats later if it lays down. If not we’re back at it tomorrow morning.

Cats were slow in the window we fished. One chunky bullhead, nothing else to speak of tonight.

Morning was tough today. Hooked one pike up north. The water is really dirty up there so we headed south tonight and it certainly paid off. A bunch of pike 18-22” and 3 nice bass were mostly taken on spoons (all released). I also lost a really nice pike that damn near made my heart stop.
All in all a pretty decent day.

We woke up to a mirror of a lake this morning and went out early with high hopes. Fished big bay hard for one pike and a couple bass on weedless spoons. We hit several bays tonight for a grand total of one lost bowfin and a dink bass. The weather has been wild and seems to be a major factor in the slow fishing. Storms tonight and rain tomorrow, we’ll see about getting out tomorrow night unless the rain puddles out early.

Great reporting guys! Thanks for the updates. Bummer about the weather today. Never mind the rain much but those Black Lake winds can shut you down quick. Here's hoping for better weather and tight lines the rest of the week. Just takes one big bite to make an amazing day.

We decided to pull the plug early to fish on our home waters for tiger Muskies tomorrow. The weather beat us up and the lake needs some time to stabilize before it turns on again. Still, it was a fun trip.

Muskies where pretty hot. My son got the only one that actually could hit a plug. Nice fish mid 40 inches. Others were misses and hot follows.
