Post by walleyehound » Thu Jul 08, 2010 8:13 pm

Fished hard last weekend and finally hammered the eyes big time, sunday and monday were the best, even the smallmouths and pike were hittin. I never in my life caught so many 4 to 6" perch they were hittin our lines as soon as it hit the waters, catchin 4" perch on a 4" rapala. Gettin back to the eyes didnt catch one under 18" , biggest 23". kept 3 of the 11 for a shore lunch. what a good weekend.

Hello Tim,
I wonder if you could tell me what areas you go for the perch and gills say in Sept? Not your exact spots of course but generally speaking. Thank you

we've been catching a lot of really nice gills just off shoals in the deeper water. We drift with the wind and use jigs tipped with nightcrawlers.
