Edgar's, "The Happy Fisherman" is a friendly, family owned business that was one of the first established on Black Lake. It has been owned and operated by the same family since 1918 with some of out customers now being the fourth generation.
Stop in for a week or a few days to enjoy some excellant bass, pike, walleye and crappie fishing. Our guests are always welcome at our evening campfires for "weenie roasts" or "smores". Or just sit and enjoy the stars and watch the moon rise across the bay.
All camps are heated and have screened porches. They have furnished kitchens with refrigerator, stove and microwave. Bathrooms have showers. There are double beds with rollaway beds available. Picnic tables with covers are available. Firewood for campfires furnished at no extra charge. Fish cleaning area.
Free dockage for your personal boat.
The Happy Fisherman is located on the shore of Black Lake just five miles from Hammond on the Black Lake Road. An excellant state boat launch is just a mile away and a grocery store, gas, bait and tackle are available nearby.
Pets are always welcome but must be leashed and under control at all times.
